Oral documentation project

One of our main objectives is to document spoken tradition and language. To that aim, we have established two ines of action:

• Responding to the Foundation's own needs

Our goal is to be able to respond our own needs with regard to our projects and collaboration nets - research material, libraries and records, management and diffusion of internal and external documentation...

• Being informed of all oral documents concerning Basque language: making up an oral language corpus

We want to know all documentation gathered about Basque and its oral tradition. Moreover, we want to know where and how have those documents been stored and who recorded them, with the purpose of developing a Documentation Project. To that end, we must carry out an intensive research.

At present, we have channelled our efforts to the above mentioned two objectives. By the year 2012, we expect to be able to throw some light on the situation of oral documentation, that is, to open ways for releasing the results of the researches carried out until now.
